Jane Michels of Coupons, Inc. Awarded ACP Industry Impact Award

Industry Coupon Code Expert Honored for the Third Time by the Association of Coupon Professionals

PRESS RELEASE - Coupons, Inc. is pleased to announce that Jane Michels, General Manager, Family Code Services, has been awarded the Industry Impact Award by the Association of Coupon Professionals (ACP) for her work on new coupon barcode standards which will go into place next year. Jane is the world's leading expert on coupon family codes and is the only individual to receive the ACP's Impact Award three times. She was also recognized in 2002 and 2005.

Jane received the Impact Award for her work on the new GS1 Databar for coupons, a new coupon symbology that will begin to be seen on coupons starting next year. Jane is the industry authority on product codes and couponing, with 25 years of experience in the market. She sets the standard for coupon family code management in the industry. Coupon family codes appear in the coupon bar code to help retailers scan and validate coupons. They assure retailers that the customer is buying the correct item with a coupon at the check stand.

ACP Industry Impact Award was designed to honor those who participate and achieve specific goals set by the association each year. The ACP Executive Committee selects the recipients based on outstanding achievement within an annual period.

Jane Michels joined Coupons, Inc. in January through the acquisition of J. Michels, Inc. which combined the family code and UPC management services with Coupons, Inc.'s large printable coupon content network, creating new opportunities for manufacturers and retailers in incentive promotions.

Coupons, Inc. currently enables more than 99% of printable coupon offerings online, and works with over 600 brands, including top consumer packaged goods and pharmaceutical companies, retailers, entertainment, and media companies. Its Digital FSI Network is the world's largest coupon network with thousands of consumer websites reaching more than 75 million grocery, pharmaceutical, and general retail shoppers. By allowing its partners to create new and innovative ways to present coupon offers to consumers, Coupons, Inc. continues to extend its leadership in the printable coupon industry.
